  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/3 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough: Roll out your pizza dough on a lightly floured surface until it’s about a 12-by-8-inch rectangle, creating the perfect base for cutting and shaping the knots.
  2. Cut and Tie Knots: Slice the dough into strips roughly one-inch wide. Take each strip and tie it into a loose knot, pinching the ends to seal and prevent unraveling during baking.
  3. Bake the Knots: Place the knots on a parchment-lined baking sheet, spacing them evenly. Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and slightly crispy on the outside.
  4. Make the Garlic Parmesan Butter: While the knots bake, melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir in the minced garlic, Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, olive oil, and a pinch of salt and pepper until well combined and fragrant.
  5. Coat and Serve: Once the knots come out of the oven, immediately brush them generously with the garlic Parmesan butter. Serve warm for the best flavor and texture.
