Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 1 can crescent roll dough (approximately 8 oz)
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 23 garlic cloves, finely minced or 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning or mixed dried herbs

Optional Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (for sprinkling)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese (for cheesy variation)
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (for spicy kick)
  • 23 strips cooked bacon or ham (for stuffed variation)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Garlic Butter: Melt the butter in a small bowl and stir in finely minced garlic or garlic powder along with Italian seasoning until well combined.
  2. Roll Out the Crescent Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough onto a clean surface and gently press the perforations to seal them, ensuring the dough bakes evenly and rolls smoothly.
  3. Brush the Dough with Garlic Butter: Evenly spread the prepared garlic butter over the entire surface of the dough, covering every inch to infuse flavor throughout.
  4. Add Optional Ingredients: If using cheese, cooked bacon, ham, herbs, or red pepper flakes, sprinkle them evenly over the buttered dough now.
  5. Roll and Slice: Carefully roll the dough into a tight log, then slice into 1 to 1.5-inch pieces to form individual roll-ups.
  6. Air Fry to Perfection: Place the roll-ups in a single layer in your air fryer basket, leaving space between each. Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

Notes

  • Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket to ensure even crisping of the roll-ups.
  • Using fresh minced garlic provides a stronger and fresher flavor compared to garlic powder.
  • Brush a little extra garlic butter on top after cooking for an extra burst of flavor and shine.
  • Watch the roll-ups closely as cooking times may vary between air fryer models to prevent burning.
  • You can prepare roll-ups ahead of time, refrigerate, and then cook when ready for convenience.
